Abscess . Treated With Antibiotic. Why Is A Root Canal
![default](/r/images/default.png)
That pus formation needs to be open and drainage.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question. Hope I can be of help to you today.
An abscess root canal is formed by the entering of the bacteria that induce acute inflammation and causing pus formation. That pus formation needs to be open and drainage. If you do not drain it, it will damage the root canal deeper.
Antibiotics should not be used as a replacement for surgical drainage. Antibiotics fight against the infection process from bacterias but they can not heal the abscess (pus formed) in your root canal.
Hope this helps, please let me know if you have any clarification or question, I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
Wish good health.
