Acid Reflux. Caused By Fibroid?

Question: can a fibroid (9x9.5x6cm) cause acid reflux. Have had both for about 10 years I am 62 yrs old
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for your query.
Fibroids dont cause acid reflux.
Simply because the uterus and the GI system are completely separate and unrelated.
Acid reflux is a GI symptom that can be caused due to medicines, food habits etc.
You should start taking antacids before meals.
Remember not to take medicines on empty stomach.
Avoid oily,spicy fried food.
Alcohol and smoking increase acidity.
If there is still no relief you might need further tests to to rule out ulcers,GERD etc.
Follow up queries are welcome.
