After My Daughter Takes Latuda, 20 Mg Twice A Day,

Is this normal, she has been taking Latuda for about a month and a half? At first this drug seemed to work, now we are struggling with it. Not very hopefully with this drug.
She takes Ativan .5 mg four times a day as needed. Most times she gets no more than 3 doses of this med.
I feel like Latuda is now causing the voices now.
Could she only be on an anti anxiety med? Pulse 108 when resting. Seems like Ativan has a shorter life span now. Would it be that the psychosis has passed? So frustrated but grateful for his site.
The dose should be increased
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for using ask a doctor service
I can understand your problem. If she has psychotic symptoms and her psychotic symptoms like hearing voices or seeing black dots are persisting then she should be given proper antipsychotic drugs. Latuda is a good drug and will help to reduce her psychotic symptoms. The drug is not causing the symptoms but will help to reduce the symptoms. She is on 20 mg dose twice a day and her dose should be increased to 60-80 mg. A lot of individuals develop restlessness with this medicine but this passes by own in few days of starting the drug. So no need to get worried.
You can continue to give her Ativan on sos basis for sleep and anxiety. The dose of Latuda should be increased to 60-80 mg. You can talk with her psychiatrist for this.
Thanks
