I have this very minor weird feeling when I am breathing in and exhaling that is at the base of my throat, right above my chest. It feels almost like there is a bubble there. When breathing, it’s almost like something is tickling the area inside my throat/chest, almost like water or light phlegm. It is not as noticeable when i am upright, but i feel it more i am leaning back or laying down.
Any concern?
Normal acid reflux presentation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Have seen your details and I appreciate your concerns,
See the membrane of stomach is designed to withstand acidity but when this acid regurgitates back to esophagus(pipe connecting mouth to stomach)the muscles there start secreting mucous/phelgam due to irritation of mucosa layer.
So it's nothing but due to mild reflux of acid into esophagus.
When you stand straight/ sitting due to gravity acid remains in stomach....On laying down small amount of it regurgitates back.
Suggestions-
Endoscopy when COVID 19 phase is over.
Till then take antacid Prizolec one tablet daily before breakfast.
Avoid smoking,Alcohol,Fatty food.
Try to rest with 30 degree elevated upper part.
Follow up after a week.
Regards!
