Age 39 And Recently Entered Early Menapause (confirmed By Bloodwork

Question: Age 39 and recently entered early menapause (confirmed by bloodwork FSH levels). I haven’t had any real symptoms other than no period. My doctor had put me on birth control for hormone replacement. Apparently this is for bone health. The problem is that I’ve never tolerated birth control pills in my life. I get horrible mood swings and anxiety (including panic attacks) which I am now having again that I am on the pill again. The Dr has changed to a different pill, but it it’s the same for me. I’m thinking of stopping but worried about the impact to bone density. Are there other bone density treatments available with less side effects?

Brief Answer:
Better treatment options are available. Some feedback needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
I welcome you to HCM virtual clinic.
I have understood your concern and I will suggest the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.
I support your decision to discontinue the use of oral contraceptive pills.
Although it is one of the treatment options for treating menopausal symptoms, it is not the best one.

There are multiple, safe and side effects free rational treatment options available to manage the unavoidable menopause.
Your symptoms related to mood swings, hot flashes, general weakness, bone density issues can be managed very well with proper and adequate lifestyle changes and appropriate medical management.

Basically I will suggest you to opt for a healthy lifestyle, including a healthy diet and regular exercise regime.
With some more information details I will be able to suggest you some more treatment options.

I would like to know about few things in detail.
1. When did you have your last menstrual period?
2. Do you have any other medical conditions for which you are getting treatment?
3. Are you having any exercise regime?
4. What is your daily diet pattern?

Please feel free to communicate with me again.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
