Anything Else I Can Do Here At Home To Help With The Soreness?

default

Question: Hi, this is a question about acupuncture and your field seems best suited for accurate answer. I have acupuncture quite a bit that usually goes smoothly. Recently, due to a fall, my acupuncturist put 3 needles into the hip (all gave a release that showed a tight muscle) and she said to expect soreness. That was a several days ago and I have put ice as well as heat on area, epsom salt baths, anti-inflamm meds and it is still very sore and hurts with every step. She may have hit a nerve and just wondering if u think this will lessen in time and is there anything else I can do here at home to help with the soreness Thanks so much

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

I suggest you try applying warm packs if ice doesn’t help. Muscle spasm due to irritation by the needle may easen out with heat.

If it doesn’t work Do get some blood tests including full blood count and CRP to rule out infection.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Thanking you.
