Brief Answer:
No harmful Side Effects but antibiotic might not be required

Detailed Answer:
Hi.....fever, cough and cold are viral in origin 95% of the times. These might not require antibiotics. As such the medicines which you have quoted do not have any major harmful side effects if they are used in the appropriate doses as suggested by your physician.

I have a few questions for you -

1. How many days of fever is it?

2. How high was the maximum documented temperature?

3. How is the kid's activity when the temperature becomes normal?

4. What other symptoms are there apart from fever?

5. Is the cough associated with fast breathing or respiratory distress?

6. How is the feeding of the kid?

Please get back to me with answers to the above questions so that I will be in a better position clinically to guide you further.

Regards - Dr. Sumanth
