what does the new guidelines say about testing? I heard there are new guidelines in the UK, Sweden and Canada
Brief Answer:
There is no need for other tests.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
According to the guideline in your situation having an HIV duo test after 4_8 weeks of exposure is very accurate and there is no need for other tests.
But, if a person has unprotected intercourse with a partner with unknown sexual history, according to the guideline is needed to do an HIV 2 test after 3 months of exposure as a conclusive test.
Hope I have answered your query.
