Upper GI endoscopy recommended
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
MCH stands for mean corpuscular haemoglobin and is a calculation of the average amount of haemoglobin contained within each of a person's red blood cells.
MCH levels in blood tests are considered high if they are 35 or higher.
A normal MCH level is considered to be in the range between 26 and 33 picograms per red blood cell.
Since your MCH is 26.8 you do not need to worry.
As your other blood tests including haemoglobin level and stool tests and tumour marker test CEA within normal range but still, you are having indigestion and weight loss problem I would advise you to do an upper GI endoscopy.
For indigestion, you can take syrup Digene 2 tsp twice daily after food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
What is the upper GI endoscopy meant for?
My last haemogram was on 11th December and that time also MCH was exactly the same 26.8 and lab termed it low as their range was from 27-32.
Is this low MCH something to do with indigestion issues?
Secondly my haemoglobin was 15.80 in September , then it came to 15.30, 15.10 in December and now it measures exact 15.
What can we infer from these values? Any significant to worry? I have excellent appetite and from last 15 days there is no trouble of bloating or stomach ache which used to happen occasionally earlier.
My family physician has recommended me Rifagut 200 daily, colospa x and pantosa all to be taken for 4 months and he said I have IBS. I have not implemented his advice. I am currently on a homeopathic treatment and it is showing some results. So I don't know whether I can start a allopathic dosage with the same.
Kindly advise.

Chronic low grade blood loss
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Upper GI endoscopy is needed to see if their is any ulcer or malignancy in your stomach.
As your haemoglobin and MCH is going down slowly there might be a chance that you are having some internal bleeding.
It also indicates inability of your body to absorb iron which can be caused by conditions like chronic low grade blood loss over time from peptic ulcers
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
