Are Viagra Tablets Advisable While On Amlodipine?
Systolic blood pressure should be more then 100mm of hg
Detailed Answer:
Hi ,
Firstly thanks for choosing Health Care Magic for your query!
Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine class of calcium channel blocker used in hypertensive patients to lower the blood pressure.
Viagra contains Sildenafil which increases the production of Nitrous oxide which is a venodilater , hence indirectly causing the blood pressure to fall.
As such there is no contraindication or interaction of taking viagra if you are on antihypertensive , but every time you take viagra make sure that your systolic blood pressure (upper) is more then 100 MM HG .Try to seperate both medicines by interval of atleast one hours!
If you have any more query feel free to ask!
Thank you,
