I do not know any safe and effective substitute for surgery to remove a lipoma. Lipomas are benign tumors of fat cells. Unless their location and size cause discomfort, interference with activity, pain or fast growth, they do not need treatment. Even if you plan to get it removed, it can be excised under local anesthesia.
You can try by applying Neem oil/flaxseed oil or green tea ointments, it may help.
