Are A Rash On The Face And Swelling In The Face Signs Of Shingles?

Question: Hi, I have a rash on my face , my face is swollen , looks like a bee stung me. The dr said its shingles, I started medication yesterday but it's not getting better. This was on my left side of the face, today I see its starting to swell on the right side. There is no pain, burning or itching. What can it be ?
Brief Answer:
It may not be shingles, kindly upload images
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I don't think it is Shingles because shingles are usually painful. Moreover, shingles are restricted to one side of the face. Perhaps it is either Angioedema or an Allergic reaction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Oral and topical antibiotics
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This seems like a bacterial skin and soft tissue infection. I suggest you take an oral antibiotic e.g. either Amoxicillin or Cephalexin. In addition, I suggest you apply a topical antibiotic e.g. either Neosporin ointment or Mupirocin ointment.
Hope I have answered your query.
