Are Blisters Between The Knuckle And Fingertip On Wound A Concern?
Question: I'm a chef ad recently cut off a medium chunk on the tip of my pinky. I washed and bandaged the wound after applying prescription cut and burn cream. The wound does not seem to be infected and is feeling better. My question is i believe i had the wound bandaged too tightly, and now a few blisters have formed between the first knuckle and my fingertip. Should I be concerned?
Brief Answer:
Yes I think you need to show it to doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Blister in the wound is not a good sign. If you can share image of little finger then I can offer you better advise. I would suggest you to open any tight bandage.
Do not burst those blisters. Do not make your finger wet and clean it with liquid antiseptic.
I would also suggest you to visit doctor as soon as possible.
thanks

the blister is not near the wound. the cut is on the tip, and the blister is above the first knuckle... I have kept it loosely wrapped for the past two days, and the soreness had decreased... I have kept the wound clean and dry, and have not popped the blisters...
Brief Answer:
Ok then you can observe it for three days
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If blister is away then it is good. Make sure that blister does not get burst. You are doing right by keeping bandage clean. Also use antiseptic solution to wash it twice daily.
Thanks
