Are Cramps In Lower Left Abdomen And Occasional Vaginal Discharge Signs Of PID?

default
Posted on Sat, 12 Mar 2016
Question: What are the symptoms for PID? Saw Dr. this morning for pain, some cramps in lower left abdomen, felt like GI/colon blockage. Symptoms reduced after 24 hours; x-ray showed nothing, not even gas. Possible appendicitis, but no fever. Will have CT if fever/other symptoms occur. Could tampons cause PID? Have occasional vaginal drainage, use a tampon. No hysterectomy or other "female" problems.

Brief Answer:
No PID-Mostly Mild Colitis / Under Assessment

Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-No PID with Colitis / Under Assessment

Hi Dear, Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read and reviewed your query in context to your health concerns.
Based on facts of your query and used medicines- You seem to suffer from mild left colitis, which got settled after unwanted was washed out after laxatives you had.
Don't worry for PID, unless you have backache in lower back. You don't have it, so don't think of it and don't get hypochondriac un-necessarily.
Tampons do cause Vaginitis, but you dont seem to have regular discharge even and no back ache as well.So this is normal vaginal discharge.
Still if you have doubt-Check up with Gynec and get treated for Vaginal Discharge with antibiotics from your doctor.
Hope this would resolve your query and worry with it.

Welcome for any further query in this regard.
