Are Cysts On The Uvula Signs Of Colon Cancer?

Question: My husband has had 2 cysts on his uvula for at least 18 years. They have had no change and do not cause problems. His primary Dr that he sees now had never seen them and wants him to see ENT. Should we be worried about cancer?
Brief Answer:
not likely
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
If the lesions have been present for 18 yrs with little or no change, then they are unlikely cancerous.
Though some cancers are slow growing eg colon cancer, not to this extent.
By this time the lesions would have changed or he would have presented with symptoms such as persistent pain, hoarseness or difficulty swallowing or bleeding
Cancer is essentially defined as abnormal cell growth so with no growth or change ,then highly unlikely but this can be confirmed by his visit
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
