Are Delayed Periods Normal After Taking I-pill?
Question: Sir, Me and my GF had unprotected sex last month and took Ipill and this month she missed her periods , this month again we had uprotecetd sex 4 days ago and took Ipill ,Since she missed the periods this month the Dr . Suggested Medroxy progestrone acetate 10 mg for 5 days ?? Will this induce periods or should we get UPT done , If so when should we do this to confirm ?? do we need to change the medicine to induce periods ?

I understand your concern.
Normally there will be delay in periods for 2-3 cycles after using Ipill.
Since she has used Ipill twice there could be hormonal disturbance.
So its always better to take Medroxy progesterone 10 mg for 5 days.
Periods will be induced within 2-7 days after completion of the course for 5days.
Since she has taken ipill chances of becoming pregnant is almost nil.UPT will be negative.
Normally UPT can be done anytime after 9 days post sex.
