Are Diet Pills Bad For The Body?

default
Posted on Fri, 5 Dec 2014
Question: Is diet pills bad for your body? I used to take Best Slim and it worked. After a while taking it I gained weight again so I don't take it no more. I don't do exercise often. I haven't eat much fat food this 2 months, I try to stay away from junk food and I lost 10 pounds. Is that bad? I am 5"3. I used to weight 141pounds and now I'm 130-131pounds. I want to lose another 10 pounds but lately it's harder to me to lose weight... What can I eat to lose weight and be healthy and skinny at the same time?

Brief Answer:
Yes..Associated with side effects

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.

I understand your query.Diet pills can be associated to significant adverse effects involving mainly cardiovascular(Like arrhythmias, blood pressure fluctuations, risk of infarction) and central nervous system(like agitation, risk of seizures, headache etc.For this reason,Best slim(Sibutramine) was also withdrawn and it is no more recommended to lose weight.
I appreciate that you are doing a good thing to stay away from junk foods and also lost 10 pounds.Your body mass index around 24 is within normal range now.If you wish to further lose weight of 10 pounds safely, follow the below suggestions

1)Avoid simple sugars like chocolate, sweet beverages except fresh fruit juice.
2)Encourage low fat dairy products.
3)Encourage whole grains like oats, wheat etc in diet
4)Encourage proteins in the form of fish, poultry meat like skinless chicken..limit or avoid red meat..
5)Avoid eating late at night.
6)Mainly don't forget to add fruits along with your daily meals..2 to 3 servings a day..
7)Avoid excessive sleep, try to indulge in playing outdoor games, some sort of physical activity if you don't exercise.
8)Avoid greasy and junk foods as you did

With the above suggestions, you can gradualy achieve your target safely over time.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further doubt's,don't hesitate.

Take care and wishing you good health.
