Are Dizziness And Unsteady Gait Normal After Taking Amoxicillin?
Question: Hi i had a tooth out yesterday and im taking 500mg amoxocillin and its making me feel woosey and unbalanced. Is this normal ? I also have a cold and my ears feel blocked. Temp normal but my bp was 165/85 but id had tea and coffee and had just been upstairs when i took it

yes it can happen because of Amoxacillin , it can also happen because of dehydration or generalised weakness. There is no need to worry or stop Amoxacillin.
Just drink plenty of water , fruit juice and you shall feel better .
Now coming to your BP , the reading is high but as said by you BP checked after consumption of tea/coffee and after exertion can be high transiently. But I recommend you to check BP again after a while , after taking 15 minutes of rest and no prior coffee/tea or smoking.
If your repeat BP also shows high then you need to consult doctor as high BP could be cause of your Imbalance or dizziness and hence may have to be treated.
