Are Dizziness, Balancing Issues And Eardrum Infection Signs Of Vertigo?
Question: My neighbor has had dizziness and lack of balance for over a month, and when she saw a Dr. 2 days ago, he said she had an infection behind her eardrum and prescribed a week-long, steroid antibiotic (z-pack). I thought she had fluid in her eustacian (sp?) tubes because I had that 40 yrs. ago and her symptoms were so familiar to me. She gets better sometimes after she's been up for awhile, but it comes and goes until she saw a doctor with my insistence. Does this sound like vertigo, which. I'm not very familiar with? What is the charge for an answer? I'm on disability & can't afford to pay for confirmation of her issue. So don't answer if it costs very much. I'm just trying to be helpful to her, but my wallet is very thin this time of the month. THANK YU!
