Question: Hi, after a 30 mile bicycle ride April 14th. I'm 65 in good health. Hot and cold sweats, Fatigue, nausea with minimal vomiting. Headache occurred today. Today is the first day of eating. I am (so-far)able hold keep my food in my belly. The symptons are less today. Recovering immanent. My question: Did I spent my body fuel without resupplying nutrients quickly enough? Thank you for your time. I would like to have some idea what I did to myself, that if I do this again to myself I will have some remedy available.

Brief Answer:

Several possibilities

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

There are several possibilities of what might happen.
The most common is that you had a sunstroke if you were riding in a XXXXXXX hot weather.

However, if you were not riding in a XXXXXXX hot weather then the most common possibility is that you have goen through dehydration and electrolyte imbalance episode which can be avoided in the future by getting adequately hydrated with fluids as Gatorade while riding.

Another unlikely possibility is that you suffered an attack of hypoglycemia, so I would recommend that you check on your blood glucose level to exclude that possibility.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
