Are Findings Of Epithelial Cells In Urine A Matter Of Concern?

Not a problem
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using Healthcare Magic. You have nothing to worry about on the urine test. "Epithelial" are basically skin cells. It is common to find occasional cells of this type in the urine. It doesn't mean anything significant. Mucus is also common. It is gel-like fluid excreted by mucosal cells that line the urethra, mouth, and other areas of the body.
"hpf" means "per high powered field." This is the area of urine examined under the higher microscopic power. Only 0 to 2 epithelial cells are seen in each area looked at. The amount of mucus is rated 1+, 2+, 3+ (small amount, medium amount, etc.). You have a small amount.
These results are in the normal range. Hope this answers your query. If you have further questions, I would be happy to answer them.
