Question: My husband has suddenly developed shaking of 3 -4 fingers, he is not aware of it until I mention it to him.
Could this be a symptom of Parkinsons Disease.

Brief Answer:
Is he having any other walking difficulties?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these shaking fingers that your husband has. From the outskirt, this is not very suggestive of Parkinson's disease at this time unless there are some other symptoms such as difficulty rising from a chair as well as walking. For now, I will want to regard these tremors more as being physiological than Parkinson. A few more questions will help us to identify what the exact problem could be.

Does he take alcohol? What about coffee? Smoking? I will strongly discourage him from these. Finally, I will like to know whether he has these tremors both at rest and when he's using the fingers or not?

IN all, this is not typical of Parkinson's disease at this time. However, responses to the above question will be helpful.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
