Are Growing Lumps On The Face Of A Toddler A Serious Concern?
Molluscum Contagiosum
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you.
I am Dr kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist). I have noted your concern and I have viewed the images.
He seems to have Molluscum contagiosum on face. Molluscum is a viral infection of skin and presents as pearly white, raised lesions with central umblication visible on close inspection.
Treatment is usually with needle extraction but it is tricky in a small child as they are usually uncooperative. Night application of Imiquimod 5% cream for 4-10 weeks is a good option. Another treatment that can be used in a small child is application of either 10-20 % KOH(potassium hydroxide) or 25% TCA (Trichloroacetic acid) with a toothpick.
I suggest you to kindly visit a dermatologist in your vicinity for the needful.
