Are Irregular Periods After Taking Plan B Normal?
Hi this is XXXXXXX me(26) and my girl friend(23) had sex on her next day after the period ends.we forget the safety.she took a birth control pill immediately(plan B).surprisingly after one week she got the period again.this was ago three months.she got the periods next month with a delay of 5-7 days.now this is the third month and she is not getting periods its been 35 days of her cycle.she used to get generally 28 days.but this is long.she is worried and she did pregnancy test which resulted negative. can i know when she will get the normal periods again..?
do we have to worried about her periods.i checked side effects of plan b.which says irregular periods but its been 50 days now.....
does she has to take any medicines to get periods regularly..?
plz help us out

As you stated the irregular periods are side effects of plan B and it is due to some imbalance in hormones there is nothing to worry about her periods. On many occasions it takes three months to have regular periods again. The risk increases if the women have low hemoglobin.
To be on safer side I will request you to do following from nearby laboratory.
Hemoglobin
Thyroid function tests such as T3 T 4 and TSH
IN addition you can take urine pregnancy test which can be done at home with use of kit that is available over the counter at most medical stores.
With reports revert back to me for further guidance.
