Are Low Grade Fever, Cough And Puffy Nose Signs Of Viral Infection?

Question: I have had a low grade fever and cough for the last 3 days. I have an immune deficiency as well. My nose is stuffed up but the discharge is not green at all. Do I have a viral infection?
I was with my grandson last Friday who has a confirmed case of walking pneumonia. I had walking pneumonia in November and this doesn't feel like that did.

Yes, possibility of viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is more.
But if fever and cough continues even after 1 week then get done chest x ray to rule out pneumonia.
Along with drugs, you should follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
2. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
3. Avoid hard to chew food.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
