Are Negative HIV 1 And 2 Test Results After 15 Days Of Sexual Exposure Conclusive?

Question: Hi Doctor
I have done unprotected sex on 14th XXXXXXX 2015 and 16th Feb, 2015 and on 2nd March,2015 I have done HIV 1 RNA Qualitative test (sample type EDTA Plasma Blood) and HIV 2 real time PCR (sample type EDTA Plasma Blood). Both the results are negative and on 15th March, 2015 I did an HIV 1 and 2 + p.24 Ag (method CMIA) which was also negative.
Now I am getting married on 9th April, 2015. Can I have sex with her or do I need to wait. What kind of tests I need to do now.Any tests after 3/6 months. I am really worried, kindly advise me. Thank you

Brief Answer:
after ruling out HIV 1and 2, start your sexual activities
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM
Thanks for posting your query.
You had your last unprotected sex on first week of March. But you had your HIV tests on 15th March. By these tests you have possibly ruled out HIV 1 infection and not HIV 2 infection. Antigen part of these tests can detect HIV 1 only. Antibody part of HIV CMIA DUO test can be able to detect both HIV 1and 2, but only after window period (6-8 weeks, up to 12 weeks). At the same time, prevalence of HIV 2 is less than 1% only.
Anyhow it's better to wait for 12 weeks before you start unprotected sex with your would-be. After ruling out HIV 1and 2, start your sexual activities.

Brief Answer:
you have to wait till 12 weeks
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
In the first history you mentioned that your last sex contact was on 2nd March. In the follow up question it was mentioned as in February.
Anyhow HIV PCR test usually not incorporated with HIV 2 Antigen. Antibody test can detect the antibodies against HIV only after the window period. Becomes more conclusive after 12 weeks only.
So wait till the time.
