Are Painless Pus Filled Spots On The Penis Signs Of Genital Herpes?
Question: I have fordyce spots normally on my penis and tonight I have a bruised looking spots with enflamed whiteheads, very small, and some without hair like the ones on my shaft, a bit more enflamed and kind of shiny. Is this genital herpes? I last had sex last night. It kinda itches and only feels painful if I press on it really hard. They pop very small and don't hurt after or during.

How could I confirm that it isn't herpes and why did it happen the day after sex? Also, how do I treat this thank u so much btw.
Brief Answer:
A negative blood test for HSV -2 would be supportive
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome back dear..
Genital herpes is usually caused by HSV 2 . You may take a blood test for IgM and IgG ELISA for HSV-2 at 4-6 weeks. If that is negative that would be supportive.
This seems like a simple bacterial infection. Does'nt look like erosions/ ulcers which are so classical of genital herpes
I suggest you to use a topical antibiotic cream/ointment e.g Mupirocin 2% cream, twice daily Or Neosporin ointment, twice daily.
