Brief Answer:
I have a few questions for you - please get back with answers

Detailed Answer:
Hi...I have a few questions for you. Please get back with answers.

Questions -

1. How many days of fever is it?

2. How high is the maximum documented temperature?

3. How is the activity of the kid in-between two fever episodes?

4. How was typhoid diagnosed - Blood culture or Widal (Tube test of slide test)?

5. Was blood culture done before starting antibiotics?

6. Did the rash start after antibiotics?

7. Can you upload the pictures of rash? Skin conditions are best diagnosed only after seeing directly. I suggest you to upload photographs of the same on this website, so that I can guide you scientifically.

8. can you upload the images of the lab investigations if any?

Actually we went to doctor and doc said, the rashes are because of the Typhoid fever. Doc said its actually good that rashes are coming.
Yes the rash started after antibiotics. we had given him 2 antibiotics (Ziprax and Offlox 100mg Rediuse) for two days twice a times. After that rashes came today. For the last one day no fever reported. Earlier fever was recorded at 103.8.
Uploaded pics of ultrasound, lab Report,Blood test report and rashes of skin.

Note:- we were asked to give lots of liquid to child, but issue is 1.5 year old can not survive on liquid.
what else e can provide me to eat. we are also giving him boiled apple, is that good in typhoid?
Please provide your recommendation on this.

Brief Answer:
Doesn't look like typhoid fever - looks like viral illness

Detailed Answer:
Hi....I have gone through your history and let an reports and images in detail. Thus doesn't look like typhoid fever.

This looks more like a viral infection with exanthema. The rash on cheeks looks like measles rash.

My suggestions -

1. Stop both antibiotics.

2. No diet restrictions...you can give him anything.

3. You can give him boiled apple.

4. Get a Measles IgM antibody test done along with a blood culture and urine routine and culture.

5. Give him symptomatic treatment for fever.

6. Hereafter please do not use broad spectrum antibiotics like this without getting a blood culture done before.

7. You need not force liquids on the child. Let him take whatever he wants.

8. If Measles IgM turns out to be positive, then he needs to be given vitamin A supplements.
