Are Sleeping Difficulty, Phases Of Depression And Auditory Hallucinations A Serious Concern After Prostrate Cancer Recovery And Stroke Recovery?
I think you are suffering from dementia which is a common problem.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Your problem is most probably related to the previous episode of stroke that you suffered back in 2014. This is called vascular dementia. One more possibility is age related memory loss commonly called Alzheimer's disease which is associated with memory loss, depression. Memory loss is usually short term so long term memory is intact.
If you are hearing voices which are not there they are called hallucinations which could be due to injury or atrophy for temporal lobe of the brain. This could be confirmed by brain imaging like MRI brain. Sundowning syndrome is seen delirium which is not associated with your condition. My advice would be to get an MRI brain to rule out Alzheimer's disease.
I hope I have answered your question. If you have further queries I'm happy to help you.
