Are There Any Home Remedies For Sebopsoriasis?
Question: I want to know if there is natural or home remedies for sebopsoriasis. I consulted a Dermatologist back in Feb 2015 and after taking medicines he prescribed the was no itching on scalp any more. Unfortunately, I could not continue the complete course. Now I have the same symptoms (itching on head, dry skin etc,) for past 1 month.
My question is:
1) Should I continue and complete course using the same medicines doctor prescribed last time.
2) Or Alternatively, is there any home/natural remedy that I can follow to get rid of this disease.

No, there is no approved home remedy for sebopsoriasis.
Treatment is based on topical preparations like coal tar Or steroid based shampoo and topical steroids lotions. Topical steroids lotions/ solutions foam etc are first line of treatment options in scalp psoriasis/ sebopsoriasis.
The disease may return back after seemingly complete cure. Therefore, maintenance with a coal tar based shampoo is useful in keeping it in under remission Or under control. For mild or recurrent disease topical vitamin D lotions e.g calcipotriol are usually preferred because they are devoid of steroid related side effects.
You may visit your dermatologist for re-evaluation. Your dermatologist will prescribe you treatment according to the present severity. A remarkable improvement is usually achieved in about 2 weeks. Thereafter you may switch to a coal tar based shampoo e.g Protar lotion/ shampoo for maintenance of remission.
For mild or recurrent disease it is better to use a topical vitamin D preparation e.g calpsor lotion Or pasitrex lotion etc which are devoid of steroid related side effects.
