Brief Answer:
Need not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Need not worry, there is no strong inheritance pattern in case of PCOS. The causes of PCOS vary from person to person. Most common cause is hormonal, increased androgens are the main hormone imbalance, this can be seen in overweight individuals.

It is very essential for you and all other women to remain in the normal weight range. Obesity can cause an imbalance in the hormones, especially the androgens leading to PCOS.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

regards,
