Are These Bleeds Threatening To The Pregnancy?
Question: I am 9 weeks pregnant and the following was noted on my ultrasound: There is a subchorionic hematoma adjacent on the right of the gestational sac measuring 2.55 x 1.07 x 2.54 cm and there is a posterior hypoechogenic area measuring .76 x
.84 x .48 cm, most likely representing a small bleed. Are these bleeds threatening to the pregnancy? Is this a large or small bleed? I have had no bleeding externally so far. Is there any way to get these to go away?
Brief Answer:
No need to worry about it.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
Your symptoms are suggestive of hormonal imbalance caused by pregnancy.
These subchorionic hematoma and bleed can be absorbed with time during pregnancy, so no need to worry about it.
These are not very large bleed and as you are not having any per vaginal bleeding, no need to worry about it.
You should take bed rest and progesterone to support your pregnancy.
Put the pillow below legs, avoid sex and strenuous activities.
Repeat ultrasound after 2weeks is recommended.
Hope found useful, feel free to ask more information.
Good luck
Regards.
No need to worry about it.

Thank you. They found this in an ultrasound 3 weeks ago and as of this week, it still hadn’t gone away and the new little bleed popped up. Would you expect it to be gone by my ultrasound on January 31? What happens if they do not go away?
Brief Answer:
It will go away.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
It will go away with time,no need to worry about it.
It is only placental bleed, sometimes it will take more time to absorb, no need to worry about it.
As your baby is fine and growing properly and you are not bleeding, no matter how much time it will take to absorb it.
Hope found useful
Regards
It will go away.
