Hello, I already submitted a question so I am not too sure If you received it and are working on it. I had a Cat Scan with contrast done of my head, neck and shoulders approxmately one month ago. I seen an ENT and he said my report and scan looked normal and there were no issues. My questions is, I can feel two knots under my jaw line, would they be seen on the Cat Scan?? I just want to make sure he can actually see them. He wasn't clear on this and said that my scan was normal and clear of any cancers etc.

Brief Answer:
A neck CT scan will show the jawline structures

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

In reply to your first question, most doctors including me are located outside the US. However some of the doctors are from the US as well.

Concerning your CT scan (CAT scan) it is possible to see the area in the jaw line in a neck scan. So if you got a contrast neck scan then the area is covered and does not show any significant abnormality if your doctor has told that the report is normal.

There are certain points that can be felt prominent like knots. If you want a second read please share your images.
