Are Throat Pain And Painful Swallowing Signs Of HIV?

once test done past the window period then accurate
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The older HIV tests have a window period of 3 to 6 months , this is the ELISA test. The newer tests have a much shorter window period of a few weeks.
The window period is the time between possible infection/exposure and when a test can reliably say a person has or does not have an infection.
The window period varies from one test to the next.
Once the HIV tests were done past the window period then the result is conclusive/final. It would not be affected by the flu shot.
Your tests, done within the last 6 months, once done at least 4 weeks after exposure would be conclusive/final.
If you wish you can provide the name of the type of test done so I can tell you the expected window period of that particular test.
In terms of your throat, pain can be related to trauma from foods, viral or bacterial infection, allergies with post nasal drip.
If it is not severe, then you can monitor, if it is bothersome then you can try over the counter pain medication to see if it helps, eg ibuprofen , naproxen, cataflam
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

no would not have an effect
Detailed Answer:
HI
No the flu shot would not affect HIV symptoms which can be , as you mentioned, flu like in some.
It is effective only with the flu virus not the HIV virus.
Some persons also have no symptoms at all, others may have symptoms affecting the muscles or gastrointestinal tract.
Sore throat is most common with normal common cough and cold viruses.
Oral sex should not have an effect because the pain is in the lower aspect of the throat.
