Brief Answer:
May not be tongue cancer.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Well I can certainly understand your fear after the experiences you've had. But there are causes for your symptoms other than tongue cancer.
The causes of numbness in any area of the face are quite diverse, ranging from trigeminal neuralgia, mandibular nerve inflammation, and even hypothyroidism.
Best to go see an Ear Nose Throat doctor or a Neurologist to evaluate this. I think you will feel better getting this sorted out than having a persistent concern in the back of your mind.
I hope this helps and you go for evaluation.
