Are Ulnar Nerve Entrapment And Burning Sensations All Over The Body Withdrawal Symptoms Of Xanax?
Compression of the ulnar nerve to be excluded first.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Xanax withdrawal symptoms may justify the majority of your symptoms.
Since you refer for numbness along your right ulnar nerve, it may be a psychosomatic symptom due mainly to the anxiety that causes this situation and disturbances of the brain chemistry, but also may be a compression of the ulnar nerve (tunnel syndrome).
Get a nerve conduction study done to understand better the cause of the numbness along your ulnar nerve.
These symptoms should subside gradually as you taper Valium, but if there is compression of the ulnar nerve, it does not improve.

Take care.
I also have had an ultrasound of the right hand and elbow and there is a small narrowing around the nerve but does not hurt at the elbow.
This only started during the Tapering from Xanax so it is possible that this can happen from the psychosomatic response?
I am still in the second final week and it has been horrible with burning sensations over the body but if they all subside then the elbow ulnar will be fine.
Withdrawal symptoms may amplify other symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Okay then.
It is possible that a minor compression of the ulnar nerve, that didn't show any symptoms before, to be felt amplified and worsened by withdrawal symptoms.
In my opinion, you should watch and wait until the tapering process ends.
If there will remain symptoms related to the ulnar nerve compression after this period, microsurgery to release the compression may be necessary.

There will be an improvement.
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Periods of worsening symptoms may be present during the withdrawal period, it is necessary for you to know that the improvement of your condition comes gradually since the body and your brain needs time to regulate levels and to find a new balance between the involved neurotransmitters.
Continue the tapering as advised by your Doctor.
Hope this helps.
