Are Watery Eyes With Irritation Indicative Of A Viral Infection?

Question: My wife is having irritation at corners of her eyes for past 1 day. Some water sometimes is coming out (occasionally) from corner of both eyes and when that water touches the skin there is itching. These are corners towards ears not towards nose. Is there some issue with any virus in air or anything we should take precaution about. Kindly let us know.
Brief Answer:
Allergic conjunctivitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The patient is probably having allergic conjunctivitis.
It would be better to get her examined by an Eye specialist.
Take tablet Levocetirizine once daily and put ciprofloxacin plus dexamethasone eye drops 2 drops 3 times a day. Use all for a week.
Avoid going out in sun.
All the medicines I have prescribed will be available only on prescription.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
