Brief Answer:
Both walking and cycling will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
Regular exercise of the knee is important in delaying the progression of osteoarthritis. Both walking and static cycling are good for you. Both have different advantages. Static cycling is more stressful for the knee and walking on an inclined plane also stresses the knee ligaments more.
You can plan a daily schedule of doing different set of exercises everyday with the help of your physiotherapist. Using a 3mm lateral wedge support will help in improving the lateral compartment osteoarthropathy.
I hope this answers your query.
