Question: BOTH ANKLES & FEET FEEL AS IF I HAVE RUBBER SOCKS ON. THEY FEEL PUUFFY & INSENSITIVE---BUT NOT NUMB. NO PAIN ---NO TINGLING. (I CAN PINCH THEM & FEEL IT). LEGS, ANKLES, FEET ARE STRONG. PUMPING STATINARY BIKE DAILY DOES NOT AFFECT ANKLES OR FEET. ELEVATING LEGS HAS NO EFFECT.
FEELS LIKE WALKING IN THICK RUBBER SOCKS. HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR ONE YEAR(NO CHANGE). LOWER EXTREMINITY SONAGRAM SHOWED GOOD SIX MONTHS AGO. {{{ACCURATE DETAIL}}}

Brief Answer:
Symptoms are suggestive of peripheral neuropathy.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.

I have noted your clinical details. Based on this, we need to exclude a diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy, affecting the sensory nerves located in the skin. This can be confirmed by doing nerve conduction studies.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
