Baby Pulled Drawer On To Himself A Couple Of Days

default
Posted on Wed, 30 Dec 2020
Question: Baby pulled drawer on to himself a couple of days ago. No bruising. No cuts. No marks after I examined him head to toe.Cried for a minute but think it was more he was startled. then has been playing normally. Eating and drinking normally. Urine and bowels normal. Certainly no signs of head injury but now I am worried his stomach or chest may have been injured although I cant be certain that the drawer was anywhere near his tum or chest as it happened so quickly when I turned away from him in kitchen Happy and well since and no marks or bruises whatsoever

Brief Answer:
If baby is happy, there is probably nothing to worry about.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using "Ask a doctor" service.

I read carefully your query.
If your baby is eating, sleeping and pooping as usual there is nothing to worry about.
If he would have hurt his chest he would have had constant pain in the crashed ribs/chest muscles, so would have cried during these days or at least showed discomfort while he moved.
If babies have any discomfort they will surely cry and stop feeding, as that is the way how they communicate.

If he starts having fever, cough or difficulty breathing or vomiting, then consider seeing a local doctor.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
