Back Of Tongue Hurts To Swallow, Swollen Lymph Nodes. What Should I Do?

Tongue hurting while swallowing may be due to-
1. Aphthous ulcers on tongue.
2. Burning mouth syndrome.
3. Denture irritational hyperplasia
4. Frequent intake of hot/spicy foods.
5. Depapillation of tongue.
6. Sharp tooth edges hurting tongue.
7. Oral submucous fibrotic lesions developed due to tobacco chewing.
Lymph nodes get swollen in cases of-
1. Pericoronitis.
2. Tonsillitis.
3. Fever and pharyngitis.
I would suggest you to-
1. Take nutritious XXXXXXX diet.
2. Vitamin supplements, iron, folic acid tablets can be taken after consulting dentist.
3. Stop smoking if you do.
4. Always clean your tongue using smooth floss material.
5. Impacted wisdom teeth if causing difficulty has to be extracted or flap overlying tooth has to be incised and removed to enhance tooth eruption.
6. Sharp tooth edges have to be rounded /smoothened.
7. Discontinue the use of denture if causing allergy.
8. Please reduce the intake of hot/spicy foods.
Meanwhile, get your tonsils checked for any inflammation underlying.
Also get thorough clinical check-up by your dentist.
Always maintain good oral hygiene.
Frequent warm saline gargle can relieve the pain to an extent.
