Question: Background- on may12 i went to a massage parlor and she used her finger to stimulate prostate. 2 days later i was urinating like crazy. Burning sensation only after i urinate. I have been tested for all stds and clean.the tip of my penis still feels irritated and slight burning.almost constant. Urologist said bacterial prostatitis. But they checked my urine and find no bacteria.on antibiotics for 2 months and minimal if any improvement.what else could be going on?

Burning sensation after urination that followed after prostate massage is likely to be due to prostatitis .
.
Absence of bacteria on Urine examination does not rule out Prostatitis .

I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Did you have oral sex or vaginal sex with her ?

You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Microscopic examination and culture of a discharge from urethra collected after digital rectal examination
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Semen Examination and culture .

Since there is no satisfactory result even after taking Doxicycline for almost two months I would suggest you to stop the same and switch over to take Bactrim D.D twice daily .

Ensure to drink more water .

hello, no i had no oral or vaginal sex with her. she gave me hand release and had glove on for prostate massage. i had bloodwork done and psa was perfectly normal. i did try bactrim for about 4 days with no noticeable results and started getting some side effects thats when i switched to doxycycline and started having side effects so they put me on keflex then which i took for a month. question-is it possible that its non bacterial prostatitis? i
question-if it is bacterial,do i have to worry about spreading to my girl? will it eventually go away on its own? what if i do not treat it is it dangerous?

Thanks for follow up .

Prostatitis is always characterized by group of symptoms complex of pain in lower abdomen ,pain while passing urine ,painful ejaculation ,pain in perineal region (around Anus)etc .

Since you have only irritation at the tip of penis I do not agree with your Urologist about the diagnosis of Prostatitis Had it been a Prostatitis it would have responded to some extent to antibiotics that you have been taking for two months .

Hence I suggest you to do investigate and get suggested tests done to confirm the diagnosis .It will help to you be free from anxiety of having Prostatitis and taking antibiotics for a long duration .

Since it is not confirmed to be bacterial infection you should not be worried about worry about it getting transmitted to your girl friend till it gets confirmed by doing necessary tests suggested earlier
