Question: Blood in urine, urgent need to pee, feel a need for bowel movement, slight lower back discomfort leading up to situation. Not so much back discomfort at this time. No UTI, to my knowledge. Weak flow. No fever, no chills, no joint pain. Actually feel guilty well other than this situation. Recently lost wife (3 months ago). Under emotional stress. Age 70.

Thanks for query ,
Based on the facts that you have posted blood in urine and urgency for urination with poor flow of urine that you have is mostly due to Enlarged Prostate which is very common at this age .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Uroflowmetry.

In the mean time start taking antibiotics like Cefixime and Nitrofurantoin twice daily along with Tomsulosin once daily .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
