Bruising Appeared After Drawing Blood. Is This Normal?
Question: I just had blood drawn yesterday, and there is a small bruise still and it is stinging still?
Dear Sir,
Sorry to hear about your problem. The bruising which is visible in the image persists for a couple of days after blood is drawn. It is more evident in fair individuals. It usually subsides with time and does no require any special management.
Hope I have answered your query.

Do you know what caused this bruise where in the past when blood was drawn i did not have this? Also it looks like there are tiny red spots around the bruise do you know what that is?
Dear Sir,
This bruise is usually caused at the time of withdrawing the needle and putting pressure on the punctured site. Small capillaries get injured and lead to bruise formation and as you rightly said it does not occur everytime. Another cause can be improper technique of blood collection but that usually leaves a bigger bruise. The small red spots can either be due to injury to small vessels or because of tape which is usually put after blood collection.
