Burning While Urination, Frequent Urination With Blood. Concerned
As a diabetic frequency of urination can sometimes be related to high blood sugars but in that case, there would not normally be burning and blood
The presence of burning on urination and blood in the urine (called hematuria) can occur in urethritis which inflammation and infection of the passage way in the penis through which urine passes.
This infection can occur with bacteria normally associated with bladder, urethra, ureter or kidney) or with bacteria associated with sexually transmitted infections in persons where this is thought to be an option.
The infection itself may result in an elevation of your blood sugar and in some cases the medication may have to be adjusted till the infection is under control.
Normally a sample of urine is taken to first confirm that an infection is present and to determine which bacteria is causing the infection.
Antibiotics are given , the exact antibiotics may depend on the lab results.
You need, if possible , to drink alot of fluid. The use of cranberry juice may also be helpful.
If possible, you need to see your doctor for him or her to examine you, check your blood sugar levels, send off a sample of urine to the lab and start you on antibiotics.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
