Question : Yes my husband is allergic to penicillin so would Alphamox 500 mg be safe for him to take ??

Hello,

alphamox contains amoxicillin which is a synthetic penicillin. If you he's had a serious reaction with penicillin in the past then amoxicillin should be avoided. It may cause a new reaction if used. You should tell your doctor about the reaction, so that an alternative approach can be suggested.
