dont take orlistat with althea..resort to exercises..
Detailed Answer:
hello,
Orlistat is a drug used for weight loss, but it is not advised in cases of PCOS as the concern is not calorie intake per se, it is the insulin resistance which can be taken care by metformin.
Orlistat is option considered when all options of weight reduction have been exploited. It is better that you choose to increase you daily activity, exercise, increase your water intake and add more fibres to your diet, avoid fast foods, oily and spicy junk foods.
This would help indeed. rest you may take the medication as advised and althea should be taken for a minimum of 6 months before effects can be seen in terms of regularization of cycles , decreased androgenic features and normal ovarian size in casse of PCOS.
