Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
Amitriptyline, as you are taking, is the first line medicine for a tension headache. It should not cause much side effects, except some drowsiness. In some, it might cause some dryness in mouth. You should continue, however, with the same as its highly effective for a tension headache. Of course, you can get to the office.
Egg yolk (yellow) will have more B12 and white is mainly protein.
Electrodes on the head may be EEG as well; whatever, please attach the reports here so that I can have a look at the same and form an opinion.
Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
Regards.

Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
I never said you should not go to office. You should take medicine at bedtime and so that there is not much drowsiness the next day, and you can work effectively at the office. Yes, you can take the medicines after a week as well and even then, you may need to take the medicines for its course, as advised by the treating doctor.
Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

PFA my reports and thanks so much for your prompt response that always helps us.
Doc gave me twice a day 10 mg ,i am just thinking will it be drowsy in morning if i take so asked.
Please have look at my report.
EEG is normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
I have gone through your EEG. It does not show any abnormality.
Yes, you can take the entire 20 mg at bedtime while avoiding the morning dose if the morning dose causes drowsiness. Alternatively, if you are having excessive drowsiness, you can just take a single 10 mg bedtime dose. Further, its always good to notify your treating physician about any changes in the medication schedule.
Hope that helps.
