Brief Answer:
Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum antibiotic used for treatment of a variety of upper respiratory infections. I assume you have an infection such as an ear, sinus, or throat infection. It will helps treat that.

Some people get bowel upset or loose stools from an antibiotic as it can kill some of the good bacteria in the intestines, along with the bad bacteria in your infection. So you may want to also take a probiotic which you can get at a health food store or a pharmacy. Probiotics are good bacteria to help maintain a healthy gut. Take it during the days you take the antibiotic and for several days after. Do not take the probiotic within 2-3 hours of the antibiotic or it will defeat the purpose of taking it.

Who prescribed the amoxicillin for you and what was it prescribed for?
