Brief Answer:
Alternative drug

Detailed Answer:
good evening

thank you for writing on health care magic

Well, methotrexate at times can cause mouth ulcers especially if the dose is too high for you. You should continue taking folic acid along with it. Arava is a good drug as well and has been the last oral drug introduced for arthritis. You can start on Arava 20 mg... but keep a watch on loose motions, bowel upset. if tolerated it is an OK to go with..

But methotrexate still remains the drug of choice. it has the best action among all. You can try starting Arava. if disease remains in control, it is a good option or else we can give a try on low dose methotrexate which you can tolerate well.
